today has flown by. it's incredible how repetitive work days are. i get the feeling there are something like five or six flavors of work days and in one year, you've simply experienced some series of these flavors with varying degrees of weather. today was one of those days that flies by because you're constantly engaged and you've managed to get something done.
my looming stint at unemployment is getting closer and closer. i still haven't ironed out how i'm going to use my new found time. something nice might be to try to sit still for a while. i feel like i've been on the move since the beginning of last year really.
i was thinking about what i've been writing so far, and in the short time i've been doing this, the common theme seems to be about not belonging where i am and getting into places i don't belong. it would be nice to just sit so still that i become entwined with whatever setting i'm in. like a gargoyle without all the responsibility.
