i turned in my move out notice today. i don't know why, but i'm comforted by deadlines. i'm even motivated by deadlines. because no matter how good or bad you do, past a deadline, it doesn't matter anyway. things just go on from there.
i had another productive day and to celebrate, i went out to buffalo wild wings for $0.35 wing night. actually, i was planning to go buy some tax preparation software and i knew this bar was on the way, so i stopped in thinking i would eat some dinner then go buy my software. well, i ended up sitting at the bar and not getting to the store at all.
i met josh up there again. i also met another new friend named chris. he's from long island and he's been here two years. i asked him how he could bear it since there's really not much to do here. i'm about at my end after only three months.
i have a deadline at work on thursday and then after that, i just get to relax a bit until my contract ends next week. after that, two weeks to do whatever i like until my lease ends and i head home.
i like finishing things. it means i get to start something else entirely.

deadlines terrify me...the word itself has such a mortal/final connotation. but you're right, things always just keep on rolling afterwards. it's good to remind myself of that.
